Mother’s Day falls on Sunday 6th March 2016, it’s early this year so it may catch you by surprise. In case you are about to go into melt down at hearing this, we thought we would give you some great gift ideas in our usual style!

For us, Mother’s Day is all about the flowers – big, bright, beautiful flowers just as a little something to say, ‘you’re awesome’. A hastily purchased bunch from the supermarket doesn’t have to be the solution when there are so many amazing ideas around for clever bouquet’s with a twist.

Fun Flowers – Our first favourite item is from Etsy. Take inspiration from this very pretty wall art created using fresh flowers and give a bouquet with a difference – hand craft your own cute ‘Mum’ collage out of her favourite floral’s for instant appeal…

We love these Mason style vases in pretty pastel shades. Have a go at making your own using the full tutorial at I Heart Nap Time , which also includes a free printable. Add your Mum’s favourite flowers or a seasonal selection of Tulips or Daffodils as a finishing touch and you’ll be on to a winner.

Our third flower inspired gift is this creative Mini Succulent Garden by Homey Oh My! This is a great gift idea with so many possibilities and one which will last long past Mother’s Day. Succulents need little maintenance too so no worries your Mum will be killing them off too easily!

Sweet Treats –  Mother’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a box of something sweet, so go all out and treat your Mum to these devilish delights…

First up is this amazing ‘Emergency Stash’ box, it’s so simple and the perfect way to replenish the stocks after Christmas! Created by Eighteen 25, who also kindly provide a free printable label, all you need for this great idea is a clear container of your choosing and plenty of your Ma’s favourite choccies to create a unique and no doubt, well received gift this Mother’s Day.

Is your Mum a bit of a Marshmallow monster? Then look no further, this offering from Food Digital allows you to have your favourite pics printed on top of each marshmallow. A lovely sentimental gift of your favourite ‘Mum’ memories for her to devour at her leisure (psst..they are also available on Belgian chocolate squares too…yum!)

If your Mum loves a good cocktail, why not treat here to some of these Strawberry Daiquiri lollies by Holly’s Lollies. These alcoholic lollies are a great gift idea and with many other flavours available including Gin and Elderflower, Peach Schnapps, Pina Colada and Mojito, you are sure to find the perfect flavour to suit her tastes!

Relax and Unwind...Being a Mum is a stressful job…Whether it be arranging tea, school runs, helping with projects and homework, holding down a job or running the household there often isn’t the time to just take five and relax. Give your Mum an excuse with one of these body treats..

We are loving this Bucket of goodies from Dukes and Duchesses with it’s rustic feel and ‘on-trend’ chalkboard label. A really easy gift to make yourself – just fill your bucket with lots of wonderfully indulgent bath and shower treats so she can unwind in pure bliss with no excuses.

If your Mum loves her beauty products, treat her to one of these Prosecco and Strawberry lip balms by Hearth & Heritage. Retro style packaging and classic flavours compliment this make-up bag essential. Also available – Gin and Tonic and Chocolate with Whiskey, suitably sophisticated.

Ok, so that’s it for part one of of gift guide for this coming Mother’s Day. We hope you like our suggestions and keep your eyes peeled for the next installment in the coming days…
