That time has finally arrived again and we must say we are now becoming rather excited!! We aren’t so keen on the recent temperature drop though, which has seen the barometer at -4.5 degrees – it’s certainly not fun scraping ice off your car at 7.15am!! In light of the freezing temperatures and the fact that it is the first day of December, we wanted to share with you our ‘Red’ gift mug collection which features three ‘limited time’ editions, each in our usual vintage inspired style.
These are as ever, made by our own fair hands and would make perfect Christmas gifts – we’ve even thrown in a mini candy cane surprise!! They would be great accompanied by some festively shaped, homemade sugar cookies – and we have a great recipe to share with you in the next few days!
It’s been a little while since we last posted due to working on redesigning our new website and creating some awesome new products so we thought we would treat you to one of our new favourite things…Cactus inspired products!
Now you may have seen these prickly creatures turning up in a few places, we think it could be the next new craze, so here are a few of our favourite Cactus inspired designs….

Hey all, today marks National Burger Day so whether you enjoy Beef, Pork, Chicken, Veggie, Quorn, Kangaroo or Crocodile (?!) it is a firm stablemate of the Great British Diet!
To mark the occasion we thought we would share a few awesome recipes for you to try from across the web – enjoy!
We are loving the sound of this Crispy Chicken, Mozzarella and Avocado Burger with Lemon Mayo – yum! http://simply-delicious-food.com/crispy-chicken-mozzarella-and-avocado-burgers-with-lemon-mayo/
This is one hell of a burger! Bacon and Cheese Corned Beef Burger with Guinness Caramelized Onions and Fried Egg – not for the faint hearted!! http://www.closetcooking.com/2016/03/bacon-and-cheese-corned-beef-burgers.html
How about something more sophisticated? We think this Mexican Chorizo and Garlic Shrimp Burger with Paprika Mayo fits the bill.
A lighter, healthier alternative perhaps? Then how about this Spicy Fish Burger with Chilli Mayo? http://www.olivemagazine.com/recipes/spicy-fish-burger-with-chilli-mayo/10084.html
The moniker Cheeseburger means something totally different when it comes to this Halloumi and Stick Chilli offering – love it!
Another sophisticate serving and a mix of two flavours which are a match made in Heaven – Lamb and Mint. Granted there is a covering of Feta and Yoghurt but it all adds to the flavour…
Last but not least a Veggie Delight- Spicy Chickpea, Jalapeno and Zucchini (that’s Courgette to us brits!) mix it up! http://peasandcrayons.com/2016/05/spicy-chickpea-veggie-burgers-jalapeno-zucchini-recipe.html
We are enjoying the glorious sunshine down here in Devon with word that a mini heatwave is on it’s way! With this in mind we thought it was time to start thinking about cooking up some thirst quenchers…and a few to enjoy on a warm summers evening – responsibly of course!!
Our first find is this fresh Raspberry and Lemon fizz – great for hot days and perfect for little and big kids alike! www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk
Our first one for the grown ups…beautiful and delicate this Pink Lemonade is perfect for an evening in the garden with the girls…www.monikahibbs.com
We must admit we are still undecided on this Lavender Lemonade, but it seems to be a popular choice – why not give it a go? www.greenevi.com/all-natural-lavender-lemonade/
The name screams summer as does the orange and red of this cocktail which features a mix of Pineapple. Cranberry Juice, Malibu and Grenadine…
If Raspberry and Lavender aren’t your thing then how about some frozen Mango Lemonade? Just the thought of it is making our mouth’s water!
We think we like the sound of this one the best! Blueberriness in a cocktail…yum! www.bakingbeauty.net/blueberry-mojito/
Get right into the swing of the Rio Olympics with this Brazilian Lemonade recipe. www.playzwithfood.com/home/brazilian-lemonade/
A more sophisticate Lemonade for the discerning type, made with Lemons (of course!?) and Pomegranate juice, it’s perfect for ladies of leisure on balmy afternoons. www.drizzleanddip.com/2015/05/21/pomegranate-lemonade
Our last summer inspired offering packs a punch and is a beautiful deep colour – the Cherry ‘7 & 7’ owes its beauty to a mix of fresh Cherries, Cherry liqueur, Jameson Whiskey and 7 Up, after a couple of these an afternoon snooze may be needed…due to the heat of course! www.sugarandsoul.
